African Flexographic Solutions (Pty) Ltd was started in 2010 by Jamie O’Neill. Jamie is a specialist in the field of Flexographic repro and print and he saw an opportunity to produce sample packaging in a short-run capacity. Whether it was from a design, structural or sizing perspective, his customers wanted to make sure that they knew exactly what they were getting before it was being printed.
Callie O’Neill joined him in 2010 and the company has grown both nationally and internationally.
We pride ourselves in our quality and ability to work under pressure in order to meet the timelines that are set by our customers. We are based in Durban, South Africa but we have delivered our packaging samples within Africa, The United Kingdom and Asia.
Jamie O’Neill has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Marketing and Management. He started his career at Polyflex (Pty) Limited as an account manager. In 2007, he took on the position as the Films Division account manager at Astra Repro (Pty) Limited. In 2010, Jamie established African Flexographic Solutions (Pty) Limited (AFS), a company offering print solutions to the South African market. Services included trade sampling and the supply of polymer plates to the printing industry. In October 2012, Jamie and Craig Oliver formed Repro Flex (PTY) Ltd which took over the repro and production of printing plates. At this time, the sole focus at AFS became digital printing and sample packaging production.
Callie O’Neill’s career began in the UK working for British American Tobacco. She later joined Japan Tobacco International where she managed the customer marketing for Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda. At the age of 25, Callie became Brand Manager for Benson and Hedges. It was there that she developed a passion for print and packaging. In 2011, Callie returned back to South Africa to join Jamie and his team at African Flexographic Solutions. Together they have established AFS as a preferred supplier of digitally printed and formed packaging samples. They have worked on brands such as Sunlight, Heineken, Coca-Cola, All Gold, Vaseline and Knorrox.
Both African Flexographic Solutions and Repro Flex work together and are a formidable team. Repro Flex is now the second largest Repro House in South Africa and African Flexographic Solutions is the preferred packaging sampling company to the major FMCG companies and Advertising agencies in South Africa. AFS continues to grow both nationally and internationally.
